The typical costumes of El Salvador are very varied and Silk colorful, thanks to its rich pre-Columbia History (Pipil, Lenca and Nahuatl). This attire represents a tradition hailing from the central region, often donned during joyful celebrations and special gatherings.

Crafted with meticulous care, it consists of six exquisitely designed panels. The delicate ruffles, which add an elegant touch, are adorned with lace. In the past, these ruffles were fashioned from silk, such as angel skin or mirror cloth, but nowadays, satin is a popular choice.

The blouse, with its graceful length, is elegantly tucked into the skirt. Its top and puffy sleeves are beautifully accentuated with lace.

A generous shawl, spanning two yards in width, gracefully cascades from their heads down to where their legs begin.

As a symbol of protection, they wear a scapular resting gently on their chest, complemented by a striking red coral necklace. To complete the ensemble, golden half-moon rings gracefully adorn their ears.
