Did you know that there are over 1 million first generation Hispanics in Canada? More than 70% arrived in Canada in the past 30 years with an excellent academic level. According to the study done by the Canadian Hispanic Business alliance – Statistics Canada, Spanish is the third most spoken language in Canada.
Empowering people has always been one of Latincouver priorities and The Inspirational Latin Awards (ILA) Gala Event is a way of recognizing the outstanding achievements of individuals making a positive impact in the Latin American community in BC and overseas. This is the 5th edition of ILA and the nomination categories recognize the achievements of different categories, including Waldo Briño, Business Entrepreneur, Arts & Culture, Innovation & Sustainability and Non-Latino Marking an Impact.
