Sambacouver brings the vibrant rhythm of Brazilian music to life at our Carnaval. Sambacouver, the Brazilian music pioneers in Vancouver, have enthralled audiences for 9 years. Specializing in axé and samba, their lively performances have made them a staple in Vancouver's music scene. They inspire artists and foster a vibrant Brazilian cultural community, serving as ambassadors of Brazil's rich traditions.

Meni axé band

Menilson is a Brazilian singer and composer, with a fantastic career in popular music. Meni led numerous carnival groups and was part of several musical projects in Brazil and Canada. His most recent stint was at Grupo RDS, where as a vocalist he led several samba circles in Vancouver and Toronto. Now his solo project promises a lot of axé, a lot of musicality and a lot of joy for the carnival audience.

Brejera

Brejera brings the full thrill of Brazilian carnaval to Vancouver. The band will be joined by Camila Louzada from Bom Tom and by Nando Aguiar. From Brejera’s extensive samba repertoire to Bom Tom’s joyful forró and to Nando’s upbeat axé, you won’t want to sit down for a second!

Brazilian Swag

Brazilian Swag Dance Group is a cultural group based in Vancouver. Their performance brings culture from the time Brazil was still a colony of Portugal up to the latest trendy rhythms along with Capoeira performances, live music, and drums.
